Contemporary Residential Interior Photography

Contemporary interior photography demands clarity, restraint and a deep understanding of craft & space. I photograph modern homes with a careful eye for proportion, materiality and light — allowing the architecture and interior design to breathe within the frame. Working closely with architects and interior designers, I create a cohesive series of images that balance wide architectural views with considered details, capturing not only how a space looks, but how it feels to inhabit. My approach is precise yet intuitive, using natural light wherever possible and subtle additional lighting when required to achieve depth, texture and tonal consistency throughout the project. I work with stylists to refine my images and make their suitable for publication.

Contemporary Interior Photography with Depth & Intent

I am a London-based interiors photographer working across the UK and internationally for interior designers, architects and furniture makers. My work focuses on contemporary homes where material, proportion and light are central to the design story.

I create carefully considered bodies of work that help designers gain recognition — whether for publication, award submissions or thoughtful brand positioning. My imagery is defined by strong composition, tonal consistency and a natural use of light, often including subtle human presence to bring warmth and scale.

I am particularly interested in interiors where craft, texture and detail matter — spaces that reveal something new the longer you look.

Narrative, Styling & Editorial Collaboration

I approach each project as a visual narrative rather than a checklist of rooms. Wide architectural views are balanced with tactile details — fabrics, joinery, surfaces, objects — building a rhythm across the series of images.

On some commissions I collaborate closely with stylists or art directors, particularly for publication-led shoots. On others, I work more lightly, refining and editing within the frame so the interior can breathe without losing authenticity. The level of production is always tailored to the project and the client’s ambitions.

I tend to favour soft, directional natural light — often working with overcast conditions to create gentle transitions from exterior to interior, allowing colour and texture to remain calm and accurate.

Light, Precision & Moving Image

Technically, I work with medium format systems to achieve smooth tonal gradation and colour accuracy — qualities that are especially important for print publication. Where needed, I introduce subtle additional lighting to balance shadow areas while preserving a natural feel.

Alongside still photography, I create stabilised video clips for digital platforms — elegant walkthroughs and atmospheric details that complement the still imagery without compromising the pace of the shoot.

Whether commissioned for print, awards, or digital campaigns, my aim is always to produce imagery with enduring appeal rather than something trend-driven or temporary.
